Hey there,
well last night i joined alpha phi sorority! it is pretty exciting news for me! a few of the girls came to my dorm room last night and offered me a spot in alpha phi. i of course excepted! now.. i am of course nervous for the new things im going to have to face.. i will be living in the house next year which will be alot of fun! but we sleep in a sleeping porch (one giant room with 100 bunk beds) which will be VERY interesting..
so all in all.

Congratulations Haley! You're going to make more friends than you know what to do with. May I suggest human pyramid? Those are always good fun.
Though sleeping porches suck. When I was at school so many people rushed the sororities that the "sleeping porches" were actually in the lobby of some of the dorm halls. I couldn't help but point and laugh at them. Yeah, I'm one of those girls.

Haley- Congrats! I wish I liked girls enough to be around so many so much of the time. I hope you realize you all run the risk of attracting bears with your menstrual synchronization... They can smell it.

I remember my freshman year of college I was at Target. It was the week before spring break and in front of me in line were three sorority girls buying supplies for the requisit trip to Shasta.
Their shopping cart contained the following: about 30 travel size shampoo and conditioners, multiple travel size deoderants and lotions, bags of chips, sunscreen, and a costco-sized box of condoms.
I was stunned by the stupidity. They spent more than $30 on crappy shampoo instead of $3 for a large bottle that had more shampoo. But I guess they didn't want the shampoo to take up the precious space in the siutcase for the condoms.
Yeah, really Amy! Especially at Costco, they could get like a vat of shampoo for the price of two of those travel size ones. But at least they're planning safe sex... Sluts.

kidding - i'm sure you'll love the sorority. they prolly have the best housing in corvallis.
I think you are going to have so much fun. If Western had had Sororities I would have joined in a heart beat - however Western was too small for the Greek society!

Sorry we didn't really get to hang out this weekend. I kept thinking we had stuff going on, and nothing happened. I hate weekends like that.
